In this photo I used multiple layers to create the mood I hoped for. The red and yellow create a warm, comfortable feeling. I duplicated my image and for the first layer I used the cartoon filter and upped the contrast. For the second layer I adjusted the red color to make it more bold. I did this by making the hue higher and adjusted the colors. After i had both layers the way I wanted, on the second layer I erased where the subjects were and the cartoonified subjects were shown. I took the picture at eye level so the viewers could connect with the subjects better. The text also goes along with the comfortable, friendly feeling. I used a font called boopee, which is casual. I placed the text in part of the red area to balance out the red and the focus point, the cat and boy. I also used a diagnol brush to create an x.
